Ingredients for seasoning the chopped turkey
?1 tablespoon chili powder ?1/4 teaspoon garlic powder ?1/4 teaspoon onion powder ?1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes ?1/4 teaspoon dried oregano ?1/2 teaspoon paprika ?1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin ?1 teaspoon sea salt ?1 teaspoon black pepper
Additional ingredients
?1 package chopped turkey ?EVOO enough to sauté turkey meat ?1 medium Vidalia onion ?2 cloves of garlic ?1 teaspoon of thyme ?3-4 heaping tablespoons of organic canned pumpkin ?1 can organic black beans ?Handful of chopped cilantro
Sautee chopped turkey with enough olive oil and add ingredients to season
Drain meat with slotted spoon into a bowl.
Sautee onion with garlic and thyme until onion is soft
Add turkey meat to onion.
Scoop out 3-4 heaping tablespoons of organic pumpkin
Add 1 can organic black beans
Add a bit of water if needed for consistency
Add more chili powder or red pepper for your own taste.
Add chopped cilantro to taste.
For the healthy version: serve over brown rice, quinoa… or by itself with a salad. …or Joe likes it with his tacos and accompaniments (sour cream, shredded cheese…)
