Why an Orange is Better than OJ

If you have ever squeezed your own orange juice, you probably know that it takes about eight oranges to produce one glass. Every orange has about a teaspoon of sugar in it, but that means that a glass of orange juice has about 8 teaspoons of sugar!

This Fox News piece claims that a glass of orange juice has more sugar than a soda!

Of course, there are benefits to fresh squeezed orange juice (vitamin C), but when you think about all that sugar, it makes a fresh orange sound a lot more appetizing; you won't eat as much sugar, you'll still get all the vitamins and you'll get fiber too!

Great article, and I agree. The pulp (and fiber counterpart), it just as important. Though some people will back their "Juicers" (that is ok), I prefer the newer blenders that "Juice", but maintain the pulp for added nutrition.
