Of course, Spring was "officially" here on March 20. But with all the random weather we've been having, it hasn't really felt like Spring until the last few days.
Spring is a time when things are blooming. Birth/re-birth, renewal, and growth are all things we like to see this time of year. And we are happy to report that FoodieLink is having a fine Spring! Our site traffic continues to grow at a healthy clip, and our registered membership has added numerous people from all various parts of the food world; people who grew up on farms, chefs, nutritionists, and most importantly, people who love great food!
Looking at our "Newest Foodies" list on our home page and some of the activity in the Groups forums, we would like to remind people to do a few things:
Upload a profile photo! This is very simple to do: Once you are logged on, click on the "Profile" tab in the navigation bar to view your profile. Then place your mouse over the icon underneath the "Here is your current avatar"; you will see the word "replace" appear. Click on "replace", and you will see a page that allows you to upload a new picture.
Write something about yourself! The FoodieLink community wants to know something about you! Again from the profile page, look at the "Info" box just underneath your profile picture. Click on the words "edit profile" to see a screen pop up for you to enter something about yourself. Once you've entered your information, click on "update", and you're done!
Have Fun! As we mentioned in the Beta Update Week 4, we are all in this to have fun! So please do check out all the things you can do here on FoodieLink.com, as well as taking advantage of all the great Events and Offers that we have available in our Events/Offers lists!
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us via email or sending a message to phil with comments, suggestions, or questions. We are very interested to hear your thoughts!
Our Beta period has been very fulfilling, and in the spirit of continuing our growth and experimentation, we will keep the "beta" moniker for the months to come.
Sincerely,
The FoodieLink Team
