New York City always has something going on. And one of the things that we really love about the city is that so much of what is going on is about food! When we first conceptualized FoodieLink.com, we wanted to make sure that one of the main focuses of the business would be to help our community members become aware of all the food-related activities that the city has. This week, we've taken the first step towards that by adding our "Events" and "Offers" widgets to the site. The Events and Offers widgets are introduced simply to highlight local events and offers that FoodieLink thinks our community will find interesting.

Our plans for Events and Offers is twofold. First, we want to spotlight fun and tasty events and offers that are being held by local food businesses. The second is to create our own events for you to join; things we will do either with our own creativity or in partnership with local partners. We are definitely looking forward to hosting these events and having you join us!

In other areas of our site beta, we've been focused on making more "behind the scenes" adjustments to ensure site stability. Over the coming weeks, you'll also see more aesthetic and cosmetic adjustments to various portions of the site to make things more useful and usable.
